A good thought provoking read!!
terryatsbeˇ Review provided by ebay.com ˇ January 3, 2022
Although this book is a bit dated now, it was carefully researched and incredibly well annotated. While I'm not associated with any organized religion, this book certainly gives cause for thought about how well positioned is the earth and solar system to learn about celestial physics. The gist of this book is that there is a very high likelihood that there was intelligence in the creation and placement of our solar system. As an engineer [MSEE] I'm pretty much a skeptic, but the tenets of this book are hard to refute. Since this book was written, the exoplanet discoveries have shown us that the assumption that our solar system is a typical example is incorrect... strengthening the author's arguments for intelligent design. A fascinating and thought provoking read.
Too Many "Coincidences" for Evolution to be Credible
2003_ub313ˇ Review provided by ebay.com ˇ March 2, 2008
Full of questions that the evolutionary textbooks convieniently (and always)ignore. The most common ideas are "How could a planet and universe so complex, with so many interdependent systems, all essential to life at the same time, have developed by chance when the ommission or weakness of just one system would be fatal?" and "How is it that man seems to be so perfectly positioned for discovery?" When the DETAILS are examined, planetary/astrophysical evolution starts to look ridiculous. This series is delightful, awe inspiring, and even shocking. Yet it doesn't mention a god, just the facts. Ah, if only every student could just be exposed to the other side of the story. With all we know today, no one could continue believing the evolution fairy tail, (except of course those educators who would lose their jobs if they gave up on it).
