[in which: among sexual frustrations, an inexperienced Jonghyun struggles with writing lyrics for SHINee's upcoming album, until one night Onew decides to help]

Late night at the dorms sleep usually casted it's spell over all the members since sleep had become an all rounder priority amongst their now busy schedule which kept the members deprived of sleep. And now that they had a day off tomorrow, they slept heavily, except two roommates: Jonghyun and Jinki. Tonight was some what of a deep lathering night where a simple mumble of "I can't sleep hyung" coated the leader and the singer in deep, deep conversations ranging from talks about pre debut life, to relationship life, to current idol life, all which were contained within respectful boundaries. This wasn't the first time the two older were caught up in an amusing conversation, but this was, however, the first time when whispers were melted, giggles were chanted, careless skin-ship was contacted, and approximately was held close by. Tonight the members decided to share a bed so they can be close enough to maintain that in-the-moment depth of meaningful convos. A spark was present however none of them took it into consider, ever, until tonight when a question popped up.

"Ever have a girlfriend, hyung?" The singer asked. The leader tilted his head in a thoughtful manner taken aback by the sudden question. "I'm sorry I don't meant to cross a line. I was- I was just.. curious" Jonghyun backed up. Jinki passed the singer a comforting smile which assured Jonghyun that his question wasn't offensive in any way to which the singer breathed out an unaware sigh of relief.

"I could say, yeah" jinki answered in the stillness of the night

"Boyfriend?" Jonghyun almost immediately backed up. "No wait. Again, just curious. Sorry" Jonghyun blabbered and scratched the back of his neck in subtle embarrassment.

Jinki chuckled but however was quick enough to reply back as well, with a smile.

"No"

"How about you?" Jonghyun looked up to find his question being retreated right back to him.

"No" he sighed, again, in an unaware manner, but jinki was quick enough to catch that sigh of disappointment.

"Never?" Jinki whispered

"Never ever" Jonghyun whispered.

He looked up at jinki, and as soon as their eyes met- the pleasurable, comforting silence never leaving its space- their breaths hitched in their respective throats. The closeness was too much for a night like tonight even though they've been close enough multiple times before too, but tonight wasn't just any other ordinary day.

There was something masked in the questions behind Jonghyun intentions which seemed to radiate through, going unnoticed by jinki as all he was caught up in were those big beautiful orbs of the singer. They weren't sure of each other's comfort with such a moment, therefore they stayed put. No one making a move forwards to claim the other as theirs, even though both hearts wanted one mutual thing. They had never taken each other into such a loving consideration until today, and boy were they losing themselves into each other by the passing second, reevaluating all those times when they'd foreseen this living spark.

After a few handful seconds of staring into each other's eyes, which felt like an eternity to the two members, their eyes mutually landed on each other's lips. Jonghyun's mouth salivated to the thought of having jinki's lips in between his but he was scared to make the first move. He might have been thinking rationally, but the same thought to the leader would have sounded absurd. Telling himself that he was thinking rationally, jinki took into account multiple questions and consequences

Does the other really want this? What if his feelings aren't reciprocated? Would this hurt their professional and friendly relationship in any way? Is this wrong? Are they ready for this?
