Playing a Hollywood icon is no easy feat, especially when the legend is three-time Academy Award-winner Ingrid Bergman, but Jessica Chastain has never been one to shy away from a difficult part.

It was announced over the weekend that the Zero Dark Thirty actress will both star in and produce Seducing Ingrid Bergman, a biopic centering around Bergman's romance with battlefield photographer Robert Capa.

Set in the years after World War II, the film will follow the couple's affair from Paris to Hollywood as the industry enters the McCarthy era.

Details on the picture are slim so far—director and casting details have yet to be announced—but YRF Entertainment will finance the project.

"Jessica Chastain is the perfect actress to star in ‘Seducing Ingrid Bergman,'" said YRF CEO Uday Chopra.

“Jessica is no stranger to portraying strong, intelligent women and this role deserves an actress of her immeasurable talent.”
