The holidays are almost upon us, which means it's time to grab your decorations and get in a festive mood months ahead of the actual celebrations. Aside from your home, footwear brands gear up for this time with special releases that commemorate the occasions, ranging from Thanksgiving Day pairs like the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High “Turdunken,” or Sean Cliver’s collaborative SB Dunk Low that brings out the Christmas spirit. With this year's Halloween releases already covered by Nike, it seems adidas is joining in by dressing the iconic adidas Superstar in Halloween-inspired colors and graphics.
White leather takes over the majority of the silhouette with the infamous rubber shell toe continuing this all-white look. Running up towards a Jack O Lantern graphic infused with Trefoil branding on the top of the tongue is a set of white flat laces, weaving in and out of the same colored leather eyestays. Along the midfoot, the Three Stripes logo comes in black with a candy corn-esque embroidery in yellow and orange stitched atop the design. Black leather takes over the heel tab with orange adidas branding matching the surrounding sockliner and diamond graphic-covered insole. Rounding out the design is the white rubber midsole paired with a white rubber outsole.
The adidas Superstar Halloween is set to release in October 2022 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
