Maybe Someday, You'll Love Me. Poem by Ezra Wilder

Maybe Someday, You'll Love Me.

I dream of waking up by your side,
The first thing I see in the bright morning light is your eyes.
You say 'Good morning' with a smile,
I am speechless.
God, You're divine.
But that is solely a dream,
I open my eyes, hoping I'll see you.
Quickly I realize,
That Me and you, never has, and never will be true.
That is a reality that I am not yet ready to face,
hoping that someday, I can convince you to stay.
'Maybe one day I can hold her in my arms, ' I say.
I am aware of my foolishness,
I know I can't have you, yet I still have faith.
Some might say I'm delusional, deranged, insane.
But I am simply not able to let this love go to waste.
