As headlined by actress Jada Pinkett Smith, the inspirational medical drama series HAWTHORNE follows the day-to-day of Nurse Christina Hawthorne (Smith), a young woman employed at Richmond Trinity Hospital, who spends her days fighting the bureaucracy and egotism that surround her to convey love and compassion to the patients in her charge and the rookie nurses under her wing. In her personal life, Christina must contend with such difficulties as her husband's untimely death, the demands of single motherhood, the presence of an overbearing mother-in-law, and many other issues. The supporting cast includes Malcolm Jamal-Warner (THE COSBY SHOW) and Cloris Leachman (THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW).
