CATA's notes :
- Color cherry pillory
- in nose It gives off aromas of ripe red fruits, spicy touches and cocoa, all of them of good intensity.
- In mouth It provides a fruity step, well-integrated tannins, good acidity and a medium intensity finish.
Elaboration and aging:
Almirez is made from grapes from the vineyards themselves between 15 and 35 years old located in Valdefinjas and Toro. The harvest is carried out the second week of October, and is exclusively manual with rigorous selection of the fruits that are in optimal sanitary conditions and maturation in vineyard and cellar through a selection table. Aged for 12 months in 30% of new French oak barrels and 70% of 1 wine barrels.
Curiosities: The winery Teso la Monja belonging to one of the most prestigious winemaking groups of the Spanish wine scene, Grupo Eguren was born after the sale of the Numanthia Termes winery to the number 1 luxury company: Louis Vuitton, Moët, Hennessy.
The Eguren family resumed their work in search of another Toro wine, that if with a lot of money in their pocket after the aforementioned sale that took place in February 2008.
