Congratulations to Golden Child’s Let Me! The song easily moves onto the semi-final with a whopping 68.5% of the vote. Based on last week’s results, I would have expected this match-up to be much tighter. But, these polls are proving to be a bit unpredictable!
We’re onto the semi-final now, with two of our heavyweights squaring off. It’s SM vs. SM again, as SHINee’s View takes on f(x)’s Hot Summer. Both are incredible summer tracks, but express the season in very different ways. Which one will move onto the final?

It seems Astro’s fanbase decided to come out in droves against “Complete” but not against “Let Me”? Odd. I guess most people who are fans of Astro also tend to like Golden Child. (Still a bit bitter about that vote.)
Also, I know for lots of people, “Red Flavor” was one of the only songs with a chance of beating “Wave.” Consider giving their older sisters a vote! One of their only more “poppy” songs is still iconic. While View has an amazing chill groove, everything about “Hot Summer” pounds harder than a heatwave. True, the vocal tone is a bit more “aegyo” than some would prefer, but remember the nature of Kpop back then meant the song needed to be about a *literal* hot summer, not a figurative one, with vocal stylings to match.

Yesterday, neither the Golcha fans or Astro fans showed up. I think that basically gives Wave a good chance at the final now. Meanwhile, Hot Summer lucked out with easy rounds to get this far, while View knocked out one of the top competitors so far. I expect View to win this, and perhaps the whole competition.
And my non-existent vote for this round? View by far. SHINee vs. F(x) is fair, but View vs. Hot Summer is simply not.

I voted for Hot Summer, but I have a feeling this is not gonna work out. Because I’ve been voting for View these past few rounds and looks like I shot myself in the foot.
