William H. Macy had nothing but great things to say about his TV son Ethan Cutkosky, following the young actor’s DUI arrest last week.
“I love those guys. Yes, I worry about them,” Macy told TMZ.
He also noted, “An actor growing up in Hollywood. A young person growing up as an actor … Hollywood is tough.”
Macy, 67, said he is willing to call Cutkosy, 18, to discuss the matter, and added, “He’s a great guy.”
For the last eight seasons, Macy has played Cutkosky’s TV father on the Showtime series “Shameless.” Macy plays the forever drunk and high Frank Gallagher while Cutkosky plays his unruly and often out-of-control son, Carl.
It’s unclear if Cutkosky’s arrest will hinder promotion of the show.
