Abstract

The present invention relates to a contents service providing method and system using fingerprint information, and provides: a method in which a contents service providing system, which has a contents database including fingerprint information of contents, provides a contents service to at least one client terminal using fingerprint information; and a system using the same, wherein the method comprises: the first step of providing a contents service of corresponding contents according to a first contents service provision request signal from a first client terminal which is one of client terminals; the second step of storing fingerprint information of the corresponding contents and service-related information of the provided contents service when the contents service is stopped in the first client terminal; the third step of receiving a second contents service provision request signal from a second client terminal which is one of client terminals; and the forth step of providing the contents service to the second client terminal by making reference to the stored service-related information and fingerprint information.
