Abstract
Subject invention discloses electronic gaming device for blind and visually impaired (11) consisting of computer (11) and computer software (12), betting panel (2), with aligned gaming and function fields, that contain also Braille, a Braille pad (3), one or more speakers (4), and optionally headset (4a) and monitor (5), where information is transmitted to a player through Braille pad (3), speaker (4) and/or headset (4a), if monitor (5) is connected to gaming machine, this information is displayed also on a monitor (5). Followed by adequate alignment and content o P fields on a betting board (2) this machine enables also playing card games or games with dices or sports bets or horse bets.

Electronic gaming machine for blind and visually impaired
Field of invention
The subject invention belongs to the field of electronic gaming machines, more accurately in the field of electronic devices, specifically gaming roulettes, modified to fulfill the needs of persons that are blind and visually impaired.
State of the art and description of the technical problem
Electronic gaming machines have been known in the art for many years. Devices enable players to gamble on series of games of chance, one of them being roulette, others card games (poker, blackjack), games with dices, etc..
A large part of these machines enables multiple players playing simultaneously, placing bets or rolling dices according to prescribed rales. This process is based on a player watching information on its game console and deciding on his playing actions on a basis of given visual information. State of the art of these machines enables playing for persons who can sit and use at least one good hand and average sight for playing. People that are blind and/or visually impaired can not use the above mentioned machines.
Despite broad distribution and long acquaintance with electronic games, the goal of every casino is to attract as many actual and potential players as possible, leaving out players that are blind or visually impaired due to the state of the art of above mentioned machines.
This subject invention is solving the following technical problem; to provide an electronic playing machine that enables equal playing for persons who are blind and visually impaired.

Marks in Figure 2 signify: Cancel; Repeat; 2 to 1 2 versus 1 (a win to bet ratio); LOW - First half of numbers (1 -18); HIGH - Second half of numbers ( 19-36); ODD - Odd numbers; KVKN - Kven numbers.
Description of the invention
Subject invention solves the above mentioned technical problem by presenting a new electronic gaming machine (11), which consists of computer (1 ) equipped with appropriate installed gaming computer programs (12) or has an access to such programs through suitable network (e.g. LAN, WAN, etc.), betting panel (2), Braille pad (3) and speaker (4).
Further can the new electronic gaming machine, in accordance with subject invention, contain also a monitor (5) and a headset (4a).
Detailed description! of tine invention
As shown in Figure 1, the gaming machine in accordance with subject invention (11 ) consists of the computer (1), on which appropriate cornpntei software (12) is installed, betting board (2), Braille pad (3), that substitutes computer monitor to the blind and visually impaired, speaker (4) and optional headset (4a) and monitor (5), that allows the use of the same machine by the players who do not have vision disorders.
The above mentioned computer (1) can be any type of computer (personal, dedicated, etc.), that inter alia contains bardboard with processor, one or multiple memory boards (hard disc 6), and has suitable accesses to connect computer peripheral (monitor, printer, keyboard, speakers), e.g. type PS/2 and/or USB and also connections for wired network connections (LAN, WAN, etc), e.g. R.T45 and optionally also an equipment for wireless connection (e.g. Bluetooth) and/or floppy disk drive and/or CDRW drive.
Computer software (12) (operating system, one or more gaming programs, program to manage Braille pad, etc) is installed on hard disc (6) of a computer ( I ), or on a memory unit of another computer, such as server (not shown), that is linked to a computer (1) supposedly through network connection. Mentioned computer software (12) euablcs playing on one or more gaming machines and at the same time, keeps records of games and winnings, manages balance on individual gaming account for each player, records game history and on the other hand enables connection and disconnection of individual parts of hardware, setting of the value of a betting unit, acceptation time for placing bets, el c.
Computers and their integral parts, such as computer software for gaming are well known in the field of technique and arc further not described in detail. Computer monitor (5) is connected to a computer ( 1) through suitable connection and has integrated and/or connected (through wire or wireless) also one or more speakers (4) and/or headsets (4a), thai can be optionally connected or disconnected.
Listed speaker (4) and headset (4a) are in the case of machine (11) used without monitor (5) and connected directly to computer (1) through wire or wireless connection (Bluetooth).
Braille pad (3) is well known in the art. It is connected to a computer (1) and assembled from a series (e.g. 40) of equal consecutive rectangular cells, formed by six raised dots in three rows and two columns. Computer software that manages Braille pad (3) opens individual dot inside a unique cell or passes through leaving it closed. Character is determined in Braille cell with unique position of raised dots. Computer program converts information, usually seen on monitor, and sends them to the Braille pad, written from left to right, where a player who knows how to read Braille can read this information.
A system of Braille as also a Braille pad is well known and as such is not further described in detail.
Betting panel (2) as shown in Figure 2 is designed for playing roulette. In the case of misalignment of cells or keys and different subject matter, it could be used for playing card games, games with dices, sports bets or e.g. horse bets.

English, with explanation of terms used in Figure 2.
Betting panel (2) that is connected to a computer (1) is in fact a specially designed keyboard. It consists of a foil, with a series of placed gaming Gelds (numbers from 0 to 36, also 00, third, half, even numbers, odd numbers, black, read, etc.) and function fields (cancel, repeat, Xl , X2, X5, XlO, etc.) with corresponding character not only in letters and/or numbers but also in Braille, in the pattern of raised dots. This foil is placed on top of a keyboard, with predetermined alignment of fields on a foil to suit individual key on a keyboard. So that a player can by pressing on one of the fields on a foil trigger also the desired key on the keyboard and its function.
These kinds of keyboards with foil are well known in technique, and as such are not further described in details.
Use of the machine
A player buys electronic playing chips before playing. Casino sets the initial balance on his gaming account equal to the value of bought electronic playing chips. Machine is managed by computer program that enables to set a value of a betting unit at any chosen value, e.g. 5.00 EUR5 20.00 EUR, 50.00 EUR, 100.00 EUR or otherwise, and if needed a program enables a setting of time limit for accepting placed bets. Gaming machine (11) announces the start of time to place bets with writing down this information on tine Braille pad (3) and/or with a sound warning through speaker (4) and/or headset (4a). In case monitor (5) is connected to gaming machine, this information is displayed also on a monitor (5).
Player chooses a desired gaming filed on a betting panel (2) by pressing on it with a finger. Blind and visually impaired persons choose a desired gaming field using Braille on betting board 2.
By pressing the function field Xl a player bets a value of bet equal to the value of betting unit originally set in a computer program of the game. A value of bet on a chosen field can be multiplied with a use of function fields X2, X5 and XlO5 meaning a player can multiply a bet, by pressing a specific field by, two, five or even ten. In an event of error during bet placement, a player can press a field "'cancel" to eliminate last entry. If he was to press '"cancel" key twice, he would cancel the last two entries and so forth.
When a player selects a desired value of bet on a specific gaming field, he can choose the next gaming field he would like to bet on and repeat the gaming procedure, or wait for the acceptance time for placing bets Lo end. After acceptance time for placing bets is over, computer program reduces a balance of total gaming account by total value of placed bets in the last game. If there is not enough cover in electronic money, last bet or last few bets are not accepted and are rejected from the accepted bets. If there is no cover on gaming account for any of the placed bets, program rejects all placed bets. Information on accepted bets, balance on gaming account, remaining time till completion of acceptance of bets, etc., are displayed on Braille pad (3) and/or
transmitted through speaker (4) and/or headset (4a). If gaming machine contains also a monitor (5), this information is displayed on monitor (5).
After the time for accepting bets runs out, a computer programs runs a game and notifies a player of a game outcome. Tn case of winning the balance on gaming account of a player increases for the value of winnings. Later on a computer program announces the beginning of placing bets for a new game.
If a player wishes to repeat previous bets on the same playing fields, he can do so by pressing "repeat" function key.
In the case of betting panel (2) suited for playing card games, games with dices, sports bets or e.g. horse bets the process of playing is similar to the above mentioned process.
The gaming machine in accordance with subject invention is described using concrete examples, which does nol limit the scope of the invention in any way.
Claims
1. Electronic gaming machine for blind and visually impaired (1 1) contains computer (1) and computer software (12), and is distinctively consisted of: betting panel (2),
- Braille pad (3) and
- one or more speakers (4),
2. Machine is in accordance with application 1 characterized by containing headset (4a) and optional monitor (5).
3. Machine is in accordance with application 1 or 2 characterized by containing Braille description of every field on above mentioned betting panel (2).
4. Machine is in accordance with singe one of previous applications characterized by transmitting information to player displaying them on a Braille pad (3) and/or with a sound warning through speaker (4) and/or headset (4a). Tn case monitor (5) is connected to gaming machine, this information is displayed also on a monitor (5).
5. Machine is in accordance with singe one of previous applications characterized by such content and alignment of fields on a betting board (2) that enables also playing card games or games with dices or sports bets or horse bets.
