Abstract

The present invention relates to information technology, and especially to connecting node systems between a hinged cover plate of a computer and the body thereof. The inventive device provides the computer with a wider range of functions and offers an improved adaptiveness due to a maximum increase of the screen adjustability. Said connecting node comprises a kinematic linkage between the hinged display plate and the back portion of the body, as well as a cable connecting the electronic units of the body to the hinged cover plate. In a first embodiment the kinematic linkage is designed in the form of a spherical joint which is secured in a corner of the hinged cover plate to permit the display screen to be oriented in various directions. In a second embodiment, the connecting node is designed so as to allow for various orientations of the screen and comprises some kinematic linkages having as a whole not less than two crossed axis of rotation. At least one of the axis of rotation is not parallel to the plane of the display screen. One of the end links of the kinematic linkage is secured to the body, while the other is fastened to the hinged cover plate having the built-in display screen.
