Description
- The nonprovisional application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119(a) on Korean Patent Application No. 20-2004-0009439 filed in Korea on Apr. 6, 2004, the the entirety of which is hereby incorporated by reference.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to an improved box for packing a toy or other product, and more particularly to a device including a box which contains a body, an opening disposed on half of a front side and an upper side of the body, and a toy movably stored within the box body for movably displaying the toy within the box and simultaneously storing the toy in the box as a toy house.
- 2. Description of Background Art
- Various types of boxes for packing toys are known in the background art. Generally, a conventional toy house is sealed, so that the toy can be shown through a window thereof, and the toy house is to be used as a package for the toy. Therefore when the toy is to be displayed, the package is undone and the toy is removed and stored and used in a place separate from the box it was sold in. Typically, the box housing the toy or product is separated from the toy and is often thrown away and/or can be used as a recycled package.
- The present inventor has determined that the conventional boxes for toy packing suffer from a number of problems. For example, conventional boxes for toy packing are inconvenient and/or are not helpful for storage of the toy after the toy has been opened or removed from the original box. In addition, it is wasteful to provide a package that is ultimately thrown away after the toy product is removed therefrom. Furthermore, particularly young children who utilized the toy cannot easily remove the toy from the toy package or put it back in the toy package.
- Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a box for toy packing that overcomes one or more of the above-identified problems encountered with conventional boxes for toy packing.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved box for toy packing serving double functions of displaying the toy in the box movably within the box with respect to a longitudinal direction, e.g., forward and backward within the box, and having an opening located at half of the front and upper sides of the box permitting the toy to be easily removed and returned to the box so that the box may serve as a toy house after the product is opened.
- One or more of these and other objects are accomplished by a box for housing a product, the box comprising a body having a floor and a pair of side walls; a roof being supported by the at least one side wall and being positioned opposite to the floor; an opening being disposed at a front section of the roof between the side walls, the opening permitting a product housed therein to be displayed, stored and movably repositioned upon the floor of the body.
- One or more of these and other objects are accomplished by a box housing a toy, the box and toy comprising a body having a floor and a pair of side walls; a roof being supported by the at least one side wall and being positioned opposite to the floor; an opening being disposed at a front section of the roof between the side walls, the opening permitting a product housed therein to be displayed, stored and movably repositioned upon the floor of the body; and the toy is movably stored within the box between a first position on a first side of the opening and a second position on an opposite side of the opening.
- Further scope of applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.
- The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given hereinbelow and the accompanying drawings which are given by way of illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the present invention, and wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a box for toy packing shown without a toy positioned therein according to an embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a sectional side view of the box for toy packing with a toy shown movably positioned therein according to an embodiment of the present invention; and -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a box for toy packing according to the present invention shown with a toy being removably positioned within box. - The present invention will hereinafter be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a box for toy packing shown without a toy positioned therein according to an embodiment of the present invention.FIG. 2 is a sectional side view of the box for toy packing with a toy shown movably positioned therein according to an embodiment of the present invention.FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a box for toy packing according to the present invention shown with a toy being removably positioned within box. - A
box 1 for toy packing as shown inFIGS. 1 and 2 includes abox body 2 having aroof 4, a receivingopening 3 disposed at the front of theroof 2, acutout portion 3 a disposed at the front of thebox body 2 and made by cutting slantly the front part of thebox body 2 along with acutting section 2 a. - As shown in
FIGS. 2 and 3 , the receivingopening 3 has a lot of functions that atoy 8 can put in, or pull out from thebox body 2 easily through the receivingopening 3, and thetoy 8 stored in thebox body 2, or thetoy 8 moved forward and backward and demonstrated in thebox body 2 can be displayed therethrough. An arch typedsupport 5 is attached to the front sections of theroof 4 and body sides of thebox body 2 for strengthening thebox 1 for toy packing and extends vertically between a floor of the box and the roof. - Referring in detail to
FIG. 3 , there is illustrated a first embodiment of thebox 1 for toy packing of the present invention. Thebox 1 for toy packing shows a kind of dog house for thetoy 8. Additionally, themovable pup toy 8 may be battery operated (battery not shown) and may move forward and backward along the raised guidingrod 6 and between a forwardmost and a rearmost position, e.g., back and forth underneath theopening 3. A pair of supporting floors orrails 7 extended longitudinally from both sides of the raised guidingrods 6. Therefore, infants or children who are using thebox 1 for toy packing of the present invention, can add to fun themselves by doing when compared with conventional toys. - Accordingly, the box for toy packing of the present invention has a lot of effects. For example, firstly the
box 1 containing the toys can display for easily checking thetoy 8 by customers. Secondly, thetoy 8 in thebox body 2 can be easily pull out from thebox body 2 by infants or children without help of their parents. Also, infants or children can put thetoy 8 into thebox body 2 easily. Thirdly, thebox 1 which thetoy 8 is pull out from thebox body 2 can use a kind of toy house, so that infants or children can put other toy into thebox body 2 easily through the receiving opening 3 and thecutout portion 3 a. - The invention being thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
