My invention relates to methods of and means for packaging paper currency, and has for its principal objects to facilitate selection of pieces of currency, to reduce the hazard of dispensing more than the intended number of pieces of a particular denomination, to render individual pieces of small denomination easily available in a package, and to reduce the extent of exposure of currency in a package containing a plurality of pieces of paper currency.

In accomplishing these and other objects folded twice to form three folds as illustrated of the invention I have provided improved details of structure, the preferred forms of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:

Referring in detail to the drawings:

1 designates a container having a slotted portion 2 to receive a series of folded notes of one denomination, and a portion 3 for notes of other denominations.

The container is illustrated as a wallet, note case or pocket book for carrying paper currency, and adapted to the dimensions of notes in common use, whereby the notes ofa selected denomination may be folded as later described for packaging in the portion 2, and other notes may be disposed unfolded and flat in the portion 3.

The case preferably comprises integral walls 4L and 5 oined at their lower longitudinal edges 6 and at one end edge 7 to form a closed end.

The upper edge of the case in Fig. 1 is thus left open to form the mouth of the case, and a notch 8 is formed in the edge of the wall 4, in the portion 3 to facilitate access to notes contained in said portion.

The series of interlocked notes is then deposited in the portion 2 of the case, the end fold 13 of the terminal note of the series is extended'through the slot 9, and the portion is closed and latched by the fasteners.

Only one note can be Withdrawn from the portion 2 at one operation, and hazard of accidentally dispensing two or more notes is avoided.

The small notes are securely segregated from the large ones, due to the attention given them when folded and assembled in a series, and hazard of erroneously dispensing large notes with small ones is thus minimized.

What I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is V V v 1.
