Abstract

The method involves measuring, using sensors, the operational conditions, from which reactor operational magnitudes (dubbed observables) are determined. These are compared with previously-established magnitudes or data to guarantee reactor operation with modalities selected by the operator. Responses from the comparison are programmed-in. Responses are selected by an expert system, which exceed a predetermined threshold value, leading to the next processing step through the computer units. Computer units process adjusted responses as a function of determined intervals between measured values and previously determined magnitudes, to predict consequences of these responses on the final state. During adjustment of predictions, the computer units use the method of general perturbations. In this method, for expressions exhibiting Boltzmann polynomial expansion, only terms of order 0 and 1 are stored, with the addition of a coefficient, which takes into account mean distribution of higher moduli for asymptotic values of this parameter. This prediction is compared with previously adjusted values and from the possible responses, is selected that best answering, in terms of the selected modalities.

Description

The present invention relates to control technology or a method for controlling nuclear reactors, and ge more specifically a procedure which is a more adequate follow-up to the Batch changes made possible by the network be brought.

The control of nuclear reactors of the pressurized water type shows in a known manner the use of conventional measurement conditions, especially those that influence the neutron flux, the con concentration of neutron poison, the entry and exit temperatures, the pressure. . . affect. The control or Regulation also involves creating funds that the  Allow change in operating conditions, essentially the moving of control or control rods and the changes in neutron venom concentration.

The measurements above are usually in ab guided parameters transformed, called observable ("observables"), which indicate the reactor operation or operation represent the operating conditions in an approximate manner. It is particularly about the anti-reactivity and the Reactivity reserve, the axial imbalance, the Extent of local reactions, etc. This derived para meters come from a treatment according to the programmed Processes directly on the reactor with the help of numerous Measurements performed.

The multitude of simultaneous measurements and the interde trend of the phenomena that control the operation of the arrangement make the determination of the occurrence of a change, which is carried out by the control devices, in particular it’s complex. However, this provision is essential Element on which the reactor control is based.

Processing according to the programmed procedures of the knives results that enables the "observable" Knowing parameters can be more or less sophisticated be. However, the complexity of the calculations does not are maneuverable to determine the final state that results from a Change or disruption of operating conditions result in a treatment time of the specifications that are necessary for the Control of reactors in real time is inappropriate.

The complexity and thus the processing time are all the more larger, the more sophisticated the physical model, the as The basis of data processing is to be as far as possible possible to approximate physical reality.

The complexity is such that the creation of out refined models using the calculations currently used Not possible to control reactors is. In particular, the use of three-dimensional Models in the control conditions that are still used today be applied, practically impossible.

This results in a control or regulation that is not based on best way to follow the batch changes of the network, below Consideration of the instruction chosen by the operator or Advice on certain preferred operating conditions too favor, such as keeping an op maximum reactivity reserve.

The invention proposes a method for controlling To supply nuclear reactors, in particular of the pressurized water type, that satisfactorily accomplishes this task, and this without making it necessary to be extremely powerful capable computing devices must be used.

Das erfindungsgemäße Steuerungsverfahren umfaßt:
The control method according to the invention comprises:

  • - Aufnehmer für das Messen der Betriebsbedingungen,- sensors for measuring the operating conditions,
  • - ausgehend von diesen Messungen das Bestimmen von spe zifischen Funktionsgrößen des Reaktors, genannt beob achtbar (observables) - based on these measurements, the determination of spe specific functional quantities of the reactor, called observ respectable
  • - das Vergleichen der so bestimmten Größen mit vorab eingestellten Werten, um die Betriebsweise des Reak tors gemäß Modalitäten zu garantieren, die vom Betrei ber ausgewählt wurden,- Compare the sizes determined in this way with in advance set values to determine how the Reak guarantee according to the modalities of the operator have been selected
  • - die programmierte Ausarbeitung von Antworten, ausge hend vom Ergebnis dieses Vergleiches,- the programmed elaboration of answers based on the result of this comparison,
  • - das Verarbeiten mittels Recheneinrichtungen der Ant worten, die in Abhängigkeit der festgestellten Abstän de gesetzt wurden, um die Konsequenzen dieser Antwor ten auf den Endzustand vorherzusehen, der auf eine derartige Antwort folgt,- Processing using Ant computing devices words depending on the distances found de have been set to the consequences of this answer to predict the final state, that of a such answer follows
The use by the computing devices of the Me method of generalized disorders in which in the Expressions that are a polynomial Boltzman extension (expansion polynomiale de Boltzman) included only the Terms of degrees 0 and 1 are saved beats with a coefficient that is the middle type part of the above modes for the asymptotic values of the Parameters considered,
  • - den Vergleich dieser Vorhersagen mit den vorher einge stellten Werten, und die Auswahl, die unter den mögli chen Antworten zu jener führt, die am besten auf die vorher ausgewählten Modalitäten antwortet.- the comparison of these predictions with those previously entered set values, and the selection that is possible under the answers leads to the one that best fits the previously selected modalities replies.

The invention results from the visualization that, in Computation step leading to a prediction of the final state after a malfunction, the proportions of the upper modes of the Boltzmann's polynomial expansions (expansions polyno miales de Boltzman), which are the most difficult or most difficult Generate calculations, replaced by simple coefficients experience that enables results  without significant distance to those with more complete Be to receive invoices.

In other words, the invention enables in a short Processing time and with simple computing means without si significant loss of precision, predictions about the ver hold the reactor in response to a change in To get control conditions. A consequence of this verb is the possibility of a considerably more precise control to create an improved solution or the de tasks.

In particular, the operator can control the reactor according to of an optimized strategy, for example with the Safety margins, the economy of the outflows or sewage or limiting the movements of the tax with the aim to wear down the mechanisms that they control, minimize.

Improving the facilities over those of the operator allows you to use the most sophisticated models that, for example, those in 3D for a better representation of the phenomena in question. Processing a 3D The model significantly increases the complexity of the calculations gen, and for this reason it is from the tax so far methods that are actually used closed.

The models used for the implementation of the invention can introduce several types of measurement. It han is about the measurements made directly on the reactor  are based on the signals from Meßauf be received. In practice, the control system shows necessarily neutron flux measurements on different points of the reactor. Other measurements, in particular the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature, the pressure, etc. are advantageously taken into account.

Regarding the prediction of situations by control lated changes, it is necessary from egg assuming a well-defined initial state. This too in turn is determined by the instantaneous measurements knows. These measurements are integrated in an expert model that was previously established.

In the little disturbed state, the expert system is sufficient to control the reactor. In the event of a major fault, if at least one measured parameter is a pre-established band leaves wide, either because the operator intervenes or automatically in response to a change in the batch of Network, says the system by means of the Ver drive the development of the reactor ahead, creates one Diagnostics for this predicted situation and developed a leadership strategy that is an evolution or development enables who responds better to the goals set.

The prediction mechanism according to the invention is in particular particularly useful in the case of frequent faults that the only recourse to an expert system is ineffective do that only takes into account temporally spaced processes can do. Following the batch requires constant  Changes made possible by the present invention to process in a satisfactory manner.

These frequent changes can eventually lead to an ab guide the initial conditions lead in the pre Invoice can be used that fall back on a periodic re-enrichment required.

The periodic resubmission according to the invention is before partly based on the measurements of the parameters carried out following a method of calculating the minimie spacing.

The calculation that leads to this re-enrichment is advantageously also using a method of generalized disorders performed. This method he enables identification among the various internals model parameters, of those that are significant participate in the distances that are necessarily too kor rigging applies. The re-enrichment that follows can thus be made these parameters are limited to what the edits limited themselves, which serve the re-enrichment itself.

In the following description, reference is made to Examples of fundamental observable parameters ter of the reactor are set up, which the Reliable show speed of the method according to the invention, using a simplified calculation method for the Results of complete calculations.

Subsequent in creating the prediction of a final state the expression or term of the Boltzmanope indicates a fault rators for the observable parameters for this pre were used that it is necessary, not only to take into account the terms of degrees 0 and 1, but also the higher terms to adequately match the asymptotic values to approximate. The contribution of terms higher than 0 and 1 depends on the asymptotic value of the observed quantities on the disturbance itself. These calculations are for carried out each parameter and the consecutive of the many faults that quickly become extreme Complexity reached.

The method according to the invention has a first Step on determining the coefficients that are possible chen, the terms of degree greater than 0 and 1 in the calc the predictable values of the parameters after the disturbance to exceed.

. .).These coefficients, which in a general way by means of β be are drawn by performing one or more reached full provisions that not only the Ter me on the order of 0 and 1, but also the higher orders (3, 4, 5,...).

Die Koeffizienten β entsprechen einer Formel vom Typ:
The coefficients β correspond to a formula of the type:

in der S0, S1 und S entsprechend die Werte der Terme in der Größenordnung 0 und 1 des Parameters und sein asymptoti scher Wert sind.in which S 0 , S 1 and S are the values of the terms of the order of magnitude 0 and 1 of the parameter and its asymptotic value, respectively.

As the polynomial Boltzman developments or expansions are rapidly converging, like the ones below Examples show, if terms 3 are taken into account, 4 or 5 to approximate the value S.

The value S can be approximated to the mean value be done by performing the calculation several times based on different starting situations ten, with only a limited number of these terms of higher order is taken into account.

In practice, once the coefficients β are determined as described above, they can be used to determine the predicted final states according to a perturbation in the operating conditions of the reactor. The equation condition that calculates the asymptotic value is:

In other words, it is sufficient to calculate only the terms S 0 and S 1 of the polynomial series or expansion for this prediction.

Practice shows that the use of this approximation by is perfectly justified for faults where it is necessary  dig is to take higher orders into account. For the smallest Disorders, with the higher orders practically no zu approximation is irrelevant. Indeed the proposed procedure or treatment becomes like this with only made for faults that have been fixed beforehand set certain threshold.

Diese Beispiele führen, wie oben angegeben zur Bestimmung der Koeffizienten β.Examples for the determination of extrapolation values of typical sizes: axial imbalance, local performance at selected points, the anti-reactivity and the react activity reserve. These examples perform as stated above to determine the coefficients β.

The process is for a reactor model with pressurized water executed. The neutron current is that in this model studied parameters. The starting position corresponds to one Reduction in reactor output. This reduction modes fects the detection sections and calls for a change the reactivity of the system evidenced by movement the absorption rods must be checked.

The following tables give the result of the calculation for the four sizes above and this up to going to the fifth order.

The determination according to the application of the technology or the General disorder procedure leads to an upset oscillating way developing convergence. Every term of increasing order introduces a participation that is getting smaller.

At the fourth or fifth order term, the distance is between the target value and the calculated and extrapolated th value is very low and it is unnecessary beyond that to go on.

The application of the method according to the invention, which uses a simplified formula which uses only the terms of the order of 0 and 1 and the coefficients β, which makes it possible to take into account the participation of terms of higher order, is used for a series of 30 disturbances gene carried out according to a reactivity range that goes from 66 to 1153 pcm (1 pcm = 10 -5 ).

The statistical results of these determinations are in the The table below shows the distance values for the calculations that compare the values, the terms the order 3, the order 4 or the invention contains agreed value.

The previous results confirm the effectiveness of the Prediction of the results of the disturbances and consequently the Management of the reactor according to the inventive method. Comparison of the values obtained using the simplified operator, the predefined coefficient enten β actually leads to relatively smaller errors learn how to get through a much more difficult one or more extensive processing includes under integration the terms of order 3 and even order 4. The return Access to this simplified procedure is therefore via Perfectly adapted to a controller that is better for development the network batch follows the selected one with satisfaction Priorities as the target of the working condition of the reactor (Minimizing the movements of the control rods, optimization the safety margins, etc.).

In addition, this simplification is such that he possible to increase the number of parameters tracked using computing devices that are relatively a are structured.
